Project Description

Timeline: October 2014 – November 2014

Project Objective: Social mobilization for creating awareness among Yazidi IDP women in Khanka about health, education, and protection; provide access to psychological support through women to women dialogue; and help children to cope with the displacement situation through entertainment activities in a child friendly space.

Project Description: A family support center is established in Khanke camp to receive traumatized, abused, and in need of support women. A child friendly space is also established next to the family support center to host kids. A mobile team will make tent to tent visits to make an assessment of the situation of women in the camp and to outreach women for education, awareness, and health protection support.

Project Outcomes: During the program 873 women and 739 children were outreached.
