WRO is very excited and pleased to announce the opening of our new Women’s Center in Koya, in cooperation with WV and UNHCR. The center will provide much needed assistance to the IDPs, refugees and local community women and girls through protection and livelihoods support through psychosocial counseling, vocational training, legal service referrals, and facilitation of a community based protection committee to raise awareness among the community.
The opening event was a great success due to all the dedicated staff, attendance by the DVAW Director, the media, and many other representatives from the local community and UNHCR. Our organization and staff would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to UNHCR and for all those who support us to make our work possible, and thanks to all who were able to join in the celebration!
