WROs Team in Koya Engages the Community for its CBPC Campaign

WROs team in Koya has designed a campaign for engaging the community in Koya in Erbil Governorate which includes distributing a request for nominees for its Community Based Protection Committee (CBPC). The volunteer committee with act as a link between the community and local govn’t and security officials in order to increase transparency and accountability by giving the community of refugees, displaced Iraqis, and local hosts a voice to ultimately reduce and prevent incidences of Gender Based Violence (GBV). Elections are expected to take place in November. The project in Koya is in partnership with WVI and UNHCR.
