WRO seeks to implement Self-resilience and empowerment through integrated CP, GBV, MHPSS, Livelihoods Project in Ninewa, Dohuk, and Erbil Governorates to meet the critical protection gaps and needs of the most vulnerable men, women, and children, SGBV survivors and those most at risk. The services are provided through three Community Centers in Koya district (Erbil Governorate), Zummar district (Ninewa) and Zakho (Dohuk Governorate). In addition to the static centers, joint Child Protection (CP) and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) mobile units reach out to surrounding villages and hard to reach areas and populations to further ensure a community based approach. The project seeks to ensure a community based, social cohesion approach though integrated services to meet the needs of the community.
Target:
- Mobile team reach 3,600 families in Koya, Zummar and Zakho.
- Psychosocial support including case management is provided to 1,326 individuals.
- MHPSS, PFA, GBV is given to 900 individuals.
- 426 individuals are referred to specialized service providers.
- 495 community members participated in GBV awareness sessions.
- Campaign on GBV reaches at least 3,000 individuals.
- Child-Friendly Spaces serve to 1,200 children.
- 345 children is provided with case management.
- 120 children are referred to specialized service providers.
- 225 children is given CP PSS and PFA.
- 1,200 children participate in non-formal education activities.
- 660 parents and caregivers participate in awareness sessions on Child Protection issues.
- Campaign on Child Protection issues reaches at least 2,480 individuals.
- 21 community social cohesion activities are held.
- 990 community members participate in Tea Group Sessions.
- 216 individuals participate in community trainings.
- Three Peaceful Coexistence Committees are established consisting of 45 members.
- 720 women participate in economy empowerment training programs.
