WRO, in partnership with UNHCR, conducted gender based violence (GBV) trainings to the community within Bajid Kandala Camp this month. These workshops aim to educate members on the roots of GBV, to help create protective and cohesive communities in which women can feel empowered. By working with the local community it is hoped that sustainable and lasting change can be achieved and negative attitudes surrounding GBV and women’s rights are reduced in the future. WRO engages both men, women and community leaders for these workshops, to help establish positive role models for everyone within Bajid Kandala Camp.
