Project Description
Timeline: February 2015 – April 2015
Project Objective: Provide GBV survivors with psychosocial counseling and referral services, and provide awareness on self protection mechanisms against the many forms of GBV.
Project Description: In both Bahirke and Shekhan, Psycho-social support was provided to GBV survivors and at risk of GBV women and girls. Vocational trainings for livelihood purposes in the areas of tailoring (In Bahirke) and hairdressing (in Shekhan) was provided by qualified trainers.
Project Impact:
The project reached out to 1,014 women and girls in total
451 women and girls were provided with psychosocial support,
482 high school girls attended awareness sessions
146 parents from host communities attended awareness sessions.
