LEGAL AND PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT TO IDPS IN SHARIA CAMP

Project Objectives: Provide psychosocial and legal aid to IDP women and girls, and raise awareness regarding risks of early marriage for young girls and boys, and parents/guardians.

Project Description: Psychosocial support through one- on-one counseling sessions was provided to survivors, in addition to legal consultation and services for women/girls who lacked identity documentation. Awareness raising workshops were also provided concerning the health, social, and psychological risks of early marriage to displaced girls, boys, and parents in Sharia camp.

Project Impact:

57 women and girls were provided with psychosocial support

60 cases solved

120 young girls and boys and parents participated in the early marriage awareness workshops
