POLITICAL PARTICIPATION

Project Objectives: The project aimed to promote the development of an informed electorate and a participatory electoral system, both of which are necessary to form independent and functional electoral bodies.
The objective was to provide information to potential voters within the targeted community through group information sessions.
Project Description: WRO held a series of workshops on voter education to internally displaced persons living in Erbil, specifically women and youth. The project was implemented in schools, colleges, and institutions as well as governmental departments.
The project supported local initiatives to provide voter education materials and training to registered voters throughout Iraq.
Project Outcomes: 24 workshops were delivered to 1,200 participants.
