Support For GBV Survivors Among Iraqi IDPs Through Centers in Baharka and Shehkan Districts and Shehkan and Mamillian Camps

Timeline: January 2016– December 16

In Baharka and Shekhan Districts, and Shekhan camp, Mamillian camp, WRO provided survivors of GBV psychosocial counseling, referral services for at risk residents, GBV Awareness workshops, and self-protection training. Skills training in tailoring and cosmetology by qualified professionals offered residents valuable opportunities to enrich their livelihoods.

Project Outcomes/Achievements:

The project to date has reached 1,014 women and girls in total; provided 950 women and girls with psychosocial support, and awareness sessions for 482 high school girls and 146 parents from host communities.
