Project Description

Funded by: UNFPA

Timeline: January 2017 – December 2017

This project seeks to improve psychosocial (PS) wellbeing amongst the women and children IDP’s, refugees and host communities of Baharka and Shekan districts and Shekhan and Mamillian camp.

The provision of these centers will make available PSS services, case management, referral services, door to door visits and vocational courses such as sewing, literacy, knitting and Kurdish language. Awareness raising, mobilization in the form of door to door visits and risk mitigation through this project will enhance the protective environment for women and children in this location. Each center employs social workers, mobilisers, guards and cleaners from WRO.
