Amal, 25, a divorced Syrian refugee whom had been physically assaulted by her husband and denied resources to live from his parents. When she came to WRO’s Jian center in Baharka, she was suffering from physical and mental assault. The social worker talked with  her many times and Amal felt so comfortable that she started coming to the center more frequently. As she had no living resources the social worker advised her to participate in one of the vocational training courses that the Jian Center offers. Amal participated in the hairdressing course, experiencing a good job and having the opportunity to make new friends. With the certification and start up kit she received from WRO, she is now a manager of a very nice salon with a good income.
