Throughout 3 months, 25 workshops took place in Erbil city and its outskirts.
The number of direct beneficiaries was 600 women.
This project aimed at increasing awareness among women about breast cancer and advocacy for early detection. The project proved success as it WRO brought specialized doctors to educate women and advising them to visit health center for regular checkups to ensure early diagnosis.
Aside from the awareness about breast cancer, the specialized doctors also gave slide lectures and notes about gynecological diseases that is usually considered shame to talk about public in the community.
The specialists also explained to women and the young girls their sexual rights and encouraged them to visit gynecologists for examinations.
